Did you know that 33% of Calgarians are immigrants? In Sunalta, Ethiopians and Eritreans form a vibrant part of our community, and other East Africans are also our neighbors. Join us at the Sunalta Community Hall for an evening where we celebrate the rich cultures of East Africa and explore what we have in common and what new things we can learn from one another about our cultures, traditions, foods  and more.

Embark on a journey to experience the diverse cultures and customs of East African countries. This event draws inspiration from our shared heritages, inviting you to engage in conversations about our experiences living in Calgary, building connections within the community, and learning about resources in the community through our World Cafe.

Join us for an evening of culinary exploration, meaningful connections, and sharing our collective stories.
