Our grassroots organization brings together volunteers who are passionate about fostering community, promoting inclusion, and celebrating diversity. Your involvement will enable us to create safe spaces for women to share their stories, fostering connections and inspiring others through the transformative power of storytelling.
Current Volunteer Positions
We especially encourage youth ages 18-30 to apply. We are enthusiastic about creating opportunities for youth to grow their skills, expertise, and voices. Whether you are just starting to build your resume or are in the middle of a career change, WON would like to help you prepare for the next steps
Social Media Coordinator
Work with our marketing and communications lead to:
- Create posts on a regular basis for WON Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Experience with Canva is an asset
- Quality is preferred over quantity; posts twice a month would be ideal
- This position would also respond to messages received on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Generate ideas of series we can create (e.g. business spotlights with companies we’ve worked wit)
- Maintain the editorial calendar for posts

Fundraising Support
Work with our Fundraising committee to:
- Find funding resources
- Apply for program funding
- Work with the team to ensure funding organizations are provided with regular communications on our activities and a report on the use of funds at the end of events

Event Coordinator
This exciting role has a lot of opportunity to get creative. This role can include:
- Support the planning and organization of events
- Engage in outreach to grow participation of a diverse group of girls and women, with a focus on female speakers, but an audience representing all gender identities and ages
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure WON has the resources required to remunerate organizers

Photographer/Videographer
Help us bring women’s stories to life by joining us at programs to take pictures or videos.
The ideal candidate will
- Possess editing skills to enhance photos
- Create short videos to share on social media
